Frequently asked questions
What if I don't know the time of birth?
The birth time is very important. If you aren't sure, try to track it down through parents, hospital, etc. The more accurate the better.
While a Design can change dramatically within just a minute, the definitions in a chart can remain the same throughout the day, even though positions like the Moon or Mercury change. In these instances, the chart looks the same and so a good grasp of the Design is possible, even though some detail is lacking.
If you want to get an overview table about the changes within the day in relation to your given birth time then type in the field 'Notes' the expression 'unsure time' (this 2 words only!)
My chart was not sent
Normally the chart will be generated and sent within 10 minutes. Remarks and/or unresolveable cities I have to handle manually. In this cases the process can be slow down until 2-4 days, depending on my work.
The most common reason for missing emails will be your anti spam settings of your email program or email provider. Please include the email adresses of New SunWare in your anti spam filter.
The following addresses will be used: FreeChartInfoATNewSunWare.com and freechartATnewsunware.com, for manually generated messages officeATnewsunware.com or Erik.MemmertATnewsunware.com. Please replace the expression AT with this char: @.
The email attachmant seems not to exist
At first: The chart itself will be sent as attachment. You can be sure that the chart is always sent. This works automatically so it can not be forgotten.
If you can't find an attachment you will find the cause in the security settings of your email program, email provider or your computer.
I can't open or view the attachment
If you cannot directly open or see the file in the email program, or if during opening the file an error message or character salad appears, then with all probability the shortcut of the document extension (gif) to the Progamm that can handle the GIF format images was lost.
To compensate this behaviour the following procedere is recommended:
  • save the file attachment (note the location; and don't change the extension .gif)
  • and open it with a program which can handle pictures and images
thus then either
  • open Paint (Windows Start > Programs > Accessories) or execute another paint program
  • select menu File > Open and navigate to the location where you stored the attachment
or
  • open Winword
  • select menu Insert > Grafic > From File... and open the stored attachment
or
  • open the Internet Explorer (off-line is enough)
  • enter into the address line the path inclusive the filename and confirm with Enter
  • or alternatively by drag & drop from the Eplorer
or
  • open the Explorer (e.g. with Windows key ÿ+E)
  • navigate to the file
  • click once (for selecting)
  • keep the Shift key pressed and select with the right mouse button in the context menu the topic "Open with...".
  • select in the "Open With" dialog the appropriate grafic program (not Word!)
Note: in XP you can click directly with the right mouse button on the file entry und selcet "Open with..."
